NRP8Z is a reproduction petrol tank manufactured by Spectra Canada, specifically made for 1275 Midgets from 1972 to 1974. This tank may be substituted for the original Midget 1500 Tank (NRP1199) fitted from 1975 onwards. The original Midget 1500 tank had a larger capacity than the Midget 1275, of 7 Imperial Gallons or 31.8 Ltrs. The reproduction Midget 1275 tank has a capacity of 5.828 Imperial Gallons or 26.5Ltrs. The reproduction tank measures 15 1/4″” X 28 1/2″” X 8″ If using NRP8Z tank on a Midget 1500 it will be necessary to compensate for the reduced fuel capacity by bending the tank sender unit float arm upwards. Designed to last, Spectra tanks are manufactured from NiTerne material, achieving enhanced interior and exterior corrosion resistance and should be considered superior to other mild steel alternatives. These tanks have been electrolytically coated with a bright lead/tin alloy by a hot dipping process for longer serviceability. For MGB, C, V8, GT and Midget models.
